I loved your comparisons with the TVD film/books. I've only read the first one though, but from what I've read, I agree with what's up there. Elena in the series is just too much like Bella for my liking, and Caroline/Tyler are much more likable on screen than in the books. And the "plot" bit made me lulz. So true.
